Looks like Lexus sells a dash camera.. anyone have one or have any info/feedback?

 

Probably gonna be overpriced. I wonder at which year this can be used for, bcuz I would like one for my car and wouldnt mind one, but depending on the cost and labor though!

I know that's what it says, but I fail to see at all how this cannot be installed to older models. It appears to be a standalone dash cam just like any number of which you could buy on Amazon. It's not like it's integrating with the screen to allow you to playback and control there. If that was the case then I could see it applying only with the software in the newest models.

That said, it seems like a ripoff. Amazon for less than a hundred bux accomplishes the same thing, sans app functionality.
