Default Blacked out grill?

Anybody have their actual grill painted black? Curious what it looks like instead of the grey color. I have a black GS

I've used Rust-oleum flat black spray and primer in one with great results. 2 years on, lots of highway driving, the paint still looks brand new.

I don't have the grill done but I did recently change my chrome trim around with a hypershift on black. Gives you some ideas of what can be done. It looks like a different color depending on the time of day.

I might do the grill portion in the future, I'd probably go with obsidian black pearl in plastidip. Also did my fog light covers too.

Eh thinking more of blacking out the stock grill not aftermarket. I like the way the stock front end looks better

Yeah its plastidip. Base coat is black, then I use a DYC topcoat with the pearl mixed in. I have a sprayer I use. If you don't have a sprayer there are lots of cans with different colors out.

You have to spray the pearls over a base. I did my trim while it was on the car, just have to mask off. If you want to do a custom color, you can use a preval spray system which is pretty cheap and just buy a quart of topcoat and mix in the pearls into it. Good option if you don't have a sprayer. Alternatively if you are skilled with vinyl you could wrap it.

Looks awesome, I'll probably go black trim in the future for the grill. Did you wrap it yourself and did you take the piece off the car?
