Default 2013 gs screen resolution

I was just wondering, I noticed that my 2013 gs f sport screen looks older in terms of resolution compare to a 2014 gs350, is this like a software difference or those the 2014 Lexus have a better screen?

I have kept a 13 and now have a 14 it's identical no difference at all.

The software has been updated.
In 2015 the sat nav software is on micro SD card, rather than DVD.

Hmm cause I currently have a 14 gs350 on a lease which is almost up in a few days, and I do see a difference between screens. I'm moments away from trying to swap them out and returning the leased 14 with the 13 gs screen. Unless there's a way I can download the new software into a micro sd card without having to pay Lexus for it . I also swapped the folding mirrors from my 14 to the 13 gs f sport and I took the BSM chip but don't know how to get it to work.

You do know that taking parts off leased cars is theft right? It's not any different from stealing parts off any random car that's just parked on the street.

i mean I'm going to try the software upgrade first and that might do the trick and either way it's still lexus oem parts for the same car so who cares.

So if I buy a base model GS, and swap my parts with your F-sport without your knowledge, it's not theft because it's lexus oem parts"?

Can you let me know where you park your cars?

If you return a leased car with missing or incorrect parts they'll just ding you for it on the return inspection and charge you to make it whole again.

Correct. I wouldn't worry, but I personally don't think it'll be worth the effort. I'd just ensure you have the latest software/firmware, and make sure all of the settings are the same. It would be a lot of work to swap out the screens with no guarantee of a benefit. You'll risk new rattles and damage to dash components during the swap.

How hard was swapping the mirrors? Did you swap put the wiring harness? Does the auto fold work now on the 13?

Yea I just simply plugged it in and auto fold works but you also need the driver side module thing with the auto and folding mirror buttons.
