The main thing is not to settle (some folks have settled for a non-F sport and regretted their decision).
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree here. I chose a non-F sport (Luxury + Cold Weather Pkg) and do not regret it at all. I wanted a smooth and comfortable cruiser. Was not a fan of the slightly rougher ride of the F-Sport. I also have Sport+ so the AVS is there as well. But to the OP, as AJLex said, do not settle but at the same time try to keep an open mind as well as there are some low mileage non F-Sports out there in great condition. You really just have to take the time to look and be patient. Plus, the non-F's are a lot less common (at least by me).
Are you planning on buying and keeping for a while, or selling the car after a couple years? The base GS is nice, albeit much less common in the TX market. If you do enjoy much spirited driving, I certainly recommend you go for either a Luxury or F-sport package car to get AVS.
You can get good deals on non-CPO cars via trade-ins at other dealers. Keep in mind how dealers can get their cars. For lease returns that go through the auction, Lexus gets first dibs, followed by Toyota, then other dealers. So one of those cars at a non-Lexus/Toyota dealer means it was passed on by the others. Non-Lexus/Toyota dealers can also get cars via their own trade-ins that bypass the lease-return auction, so there's no guarantee a car was passed on by a Lexus/Toyota dealer.
That one specifically, looks fairly clean. They only took pictures of 3 wheels, which I find odd. Also there's something odd low-left of the steering column, but their pictures are low-res.

100% agree here - i just happened to NOT be one of the people who wished they had an F-Sport. I purchased a non-F sport, premium and am very happy with my decision as well. I've seen some members on the forums "wish" they had an F-sport which is why i said to the OP not to regret his decision if he wanted an F-sport...but he seems to be flexible which is a good thing. Honestly, I think a Lux pkg used GS is a better overall value since it has the AVS and a host of cushy features and often doesn't have the extra $$$ price tag as a used model.
NYLiqPlat: In NYC, the roads are so unforgiving that the harsher ride of the 19" wheels of the F-Sport turned me away from it as well!
I was in the same spot looking all over the country but just wasn't comfortable without touching it and driving it. It could end up being a big waste of time and a disappointment if you travel several miles and then find out something isn't disclosed or interpreted incorrectly.
My advice is to be patient and try to find a model you like near to you so you can weigh your decision. These cars aren't inexpensive so get what you want and don't settle like another person mentioned.
I ended up landing a deal on my 13 F Sport a week ago 2 mikes from my house where a 60 yr old couple traded up for a BMW 7 series and it was in great shape with 40k miles. I was able to negotiate a good price for 27600. Saves lots of cash instead of buying a 14 or 15 because the minor changes in those years didn't add up to $8-10k of savings I put in my pocket. Love the car! Looks great inside and out and there's simply nothing like a Lexus!
Such great information, I really appreciate all of the knowledgeable opinions.
Follow up: You can buy a GS 2015 non CPO from most 3rd party dealers in Dallas with as low as 15k miles on it for 33K (non F Sport). Is this a reasonable price being that the vehicle isn't CPO? I have attached the link below to one of the 3rd parties that's pretty popular around DFW
Buying a used car without looking at it is a bad bad idea , no matter who's the dealer there's always something on the car which u have to see in person.
I made a deal over the phone and flew out to Georgia. Saw the car in person/test drove it. Was is mint condition so went through with the deal. I defiantly recommend seeing it in person especially with a lot of money on the line.
I've bought 2 cars off ebay sight unseen but its a risk. I would recommend having someone go look at it for you. Ebay actually bought a company for this specific purchase, you could use them. https://wegolook.com/services/auto-inspections
I think there is another service which will even do a mechanical report.
Just talked to a dealer in Texas that said they don't compete with Florida and California pricing on Lexus because of road damage and flooding in those areas. He went on to say that he wouldn't buy a car from those two states unlesss he had an independent inspector put the car on a lift! Sound credible, or just dealer speak?
Southern California has flooding? I was under the impression they were complaining about droughts the last 10 years. Florida on the other hand...they tend to flood easily with just one thunderstorm. Plus all the sand....wouldn't touch them either.

That's pretty funny coming from a Texas dealer, because Texas has a reputation for selling salvage cars with new titles. If there's one state I'd never buy a car without a PPI, it's Texas.
Dude, I was in the same boat just a couple of months ago. I live in OKC, and was in the market for at CPO 2015 AWD F-Sport. There was a CPO 2013 GS350 (non AWD/FSport) at the local Lexus dealership, it was in good shape, but IMO not outstanding and the price was a bit high. The salesman said they do not get what I was looking for often. I quickly recognized I was not going to find one with the options I wanted in OK, or DFW for the most part. I searched nationwide and saw which markets had the best pricing, and just used that as a baseline as I made multiple offers to various dealerships throughout the country. I ended up with the car I wanted with less than 2,000 miles on it at the price I wanted (color wasn't my first or second choice though). I worked the deal over the phone, found a shipper and had it delivered to my house. Car was just like the pictures, but with one small scratch. I had a good experience, but I can understand the hesitation. I looked at probably hundreds of cars on the internet, reviewed car faxes, requested additional information. The L/Cert ones seemed like the ones in better condition, plus they have the additional warranty. Ask for more pictures if you are in doubt, and be patient.

If the price is too good to be true then it is a flooded car and the dealer have to disclose that to the buyer. Otherwise you are protected under federal lemon law(the car have to be safe and passed smoke test to be on the street even if it is used).
Living in So-Cal I see barely any damage from the road. I personally bought my old Honda from a Texas' owner (still had the texas lic) and the windshield was cracked.Tbh i think that dealer was just bs with you, they cant compete with the discount/price that dealers in CA giving. I saw 23-25% discount on the new gs, doubt that dealers from other states can beat that. I saw people from other forum actually bought car in CA the ship back to their state and the price still cheaper new or used.
i would stay away buying used car from snowy state bc of the salt that they put on the street caused rust under car body.
paranoid as I am I would test the car prior buying bc even new car might have problems. If you live too far away ask someone to test drive the car, if everything is good and the discount is big enough to cover the shipping then go for it. Anyway if you have time, wait till summer or end of year there will be more lease return at better price. Shop for car required patient. ☝️
