I messed around with the custom startup image option in my 2016. It was pretty easy, you just put up to 10 .jpg images in a folder labeled "images" on a thumb drive. Plug that into the USB port in the console and find the image options in the settings. I also noticed there is a slot for "Movies" in the uploaded images menu. I wonder if there's a way to set up a custom startup movie.

Notes: I used a high-res image and it obviously doesn't look as good on the Lexus display as it does on my PC. Even so, it seems like the Lexus system reduced the size of the image so it doesn't fill the screen in the car. I might play around and try to figure out the resolution of the Lexus infotainment screen and see if I can get the custom image to show up larger or in better resolution.

I thought traditional Japanese woodblock-style art would fit this car well so I settled on a famous painting called "Mitsukune defying the skeleton" by Kuniyoshi Utagawa. Here's a picture of it in the car:

I drove my GS on the highway for the first time. Soon after I got the car, we stopped going places because of the pandemic. It's only been on short trips since I got it February. Yesterday, we drove halfway to Santa Fe and walked around an abandoned shopping center.

Install a new front bumper. I could not stand the crappy work the previous owner had done so I bought my own bumper and had my work paint the bumper.

Gave her a good exterior detail , the 4x4 is haunting but don’t think I want to deal with aftermarket setup

Nothing. I didn't do anything to my GS today. Sigh. It's just sitting in the garage with a full tank of gas, gathering dust. I told my wife I want to go out there and wash it. She thought I was crazy, as we're not driving anywhere right now anyway. But...but...but it's dusty!

I planned on doing a full detail today, but I have to wait for parcels . I should be thankful they are showing up a day early, but I have an afternoon full of meetings tomorrow.

At least one car part came in thanks to my wife for a bday gift.

RSR Down, Tanabe, or Swift springs will fix it.

Let my car idle in garage for 10 minutes and rev to 6K couple times (first time ever rev that high). Wake up the neighborhood with my loud JoeZ exhaust.
Got no where to go. It's raining outside and they're cracking down on unnecessary travels. I'm going out of my mind!
