2 coats of primer is quiet enough. I suggest you buy 1 primer, 2 paint and 1 clear coat.
Thanks - I will follow that. I am going to paint it burnt copper, the only primer I could find that can withstand high temps from Rust-Oleum is gray. Would that be feasible since burnt copper is a darker tone?

Don't worry about that. Spray the paint several times then you'll be fine. That's the reason why I suggest you to buy two cans.
I am doing this soon but will this void warranty by any chance? I don't want to use stickers I want to paint it in permanently then put 2 coats of clear.
