Congrats on the purchase, looks very clean and classy.
Not much to update in terms of resolution, but I had that issue of battery drain the day I took delivery. Well, 2 days ago, went to start the car, nothing. Battery voltage was 11.3v. Wanted my local Lexus dealer to fix it, but when I called and mentioned it has 56K miles, he was like, you need to take it to the dealer you purchased it from. I was wishfully thinking the CPO warranty would cover this, but the local dealer mentioned it was considered a wear item. Anyway, been going back and fourth with the dealer I purchased it from. I will get it in there for them to troubleshoot if the service manager ever calls me back!?!?!? I hope I am dealing with a just a faulty battery, but it could also be the charging system or parasitic drain as well. I may just bite the bullet and buy a battery, but I was thinking if I got it from my local dealer, if any issues down the road, local dealer would be covering it, only problem is the dealer wants $250 but it does include the testing for the charging system and parasitic draw. I could get a much better battery for much less than that if I go aftermarket, but my concern is that maybe Lexus will say...'because you have an aftermarket battery.....'

I did also find out that the Service Bulletins will only be completed if the car is within the original 50K factory warranty, unless there was a recall or mention of other coverage period in the bulletin, oh well.Originally Posted by Spideyman1
It was purchased from the dealer as a Certified Pre-Owned with a 2 year/unlimited mileage warranty. I was thinking Lexus might still do the TSBs but since the original 50K warranty expired (car has 56K miles) I doubt they will do any of the work under the original TSBs..

Just to close the loop here, I did get in contact with the client relations manager at the dealership I purchased my GS from, they set up a service appointment, replaced the battery, checked charging system and tested for abnormal power draw. All good now!Originally Posted by Spideyman1

Congrats on the your great looking GS and welcome to Club Lexus!

Aside from this battery issue you should be able to get any warranty work done at your local dealer since it is a CPO. It's a Lexus warranty, not dealer specific. Congrats on the purchase. I have the same interior and love it.
