Default AC indicator and parking sensor light

So as I'm getting used to my '13 GS, I have two questions regarding the dash/controls.

1. Is there a way to have the parking signals active without having that green light always lit on the dash?

2. How can you tell, without diving into the actual climate screen, that the AC is on or not? I would think there would be a way to turn on and off the AC without having to navigate to that screen. In other words, a button like there is for auto, and the other climate modes. I can't see a way to know whether the AC is activated regardless of which mode is selected without going to the climate screen.

Thanks!

1. No.

2. Press Auto (fan) to enable automatic climate control. Toggle to Recirculate only or Fresh Air only for A/C off. Toggle to Auto Recirculate/Auto Fresh Air for A/C on.

Thanks. The only thing I'm confused about is when one of the fresh air/recirc button are lit, without the small auto button being lit, when I look at he Climate screen with the mouse, the AC still is lit as activated. Seems the only way I can make sure the AC is off is to click the AC button on the screen with the mouse. Not sure if mine is working correctly?

I think only way to turn of A/C is to use the screen.. it's annoying as heck.. I wish there was a physical button. My A/C stinks because I don't turn of the compressor before the end of the drive (it's a chore to do using the screen)..

Click the A/C from the screen to disable the A/C.

Moving forward, toggle the A/C by using the recirculate/fresh air button.
