For about a weeke now, I've notice my radio keep switching from HD to Non-HD. As you know, the HD sound quality is much crisper than without. Ive taken this to Lexus of Escondido but they've mentioned it's all due to reception. Funny thing is that the loaner they gave me had no issues whatsoever.
Anyone else having similar problems with their radio? Any still use the radio for music these days? haha
I am here in San Diego. Did you always have this problem or was it recent? Also, how often does yours switch in and out during a 15-20 min drive? Mine is about 10+ times.

I live in north county San Diego and the HD goes in and out all the time. Wish it worked more consistently because the sound quality (when HD signal is on) is much better then Sirius.

I live near RB and work in Sorrento. I find it to cut in and out during my routes.
I had a loaner 2015 RX350 and the signal was solid. I'm wondering if maybe the 15+ has a better antenna? Can someone with a 2015+ confirm they have this issue as well?
You can try disconnecting the car's battery for several minutes. This will force the HD tuner to require a signal.
I've taken the vehicle to Lexus and supposedly did a reboot to the radio/nav unit but problem is still the same. They are stating there's nothing wrong and it is due to reception not the car.
I am just curious if this is something others are facing or is it just my area that recently started having bad connection.

It's normal. I see the same problem on some stations more than others.
I have a 15 and this is my biggest compliant, mine drops the HD signal but doesn't which over...I have silence for anywhere from 20 seconds to 90 seconds. Happens different stations, different states, and different topographical zones. They looked at it last visit and then my phone wouldn't stay connected, it was dropping calls,,,not sure I want them looking at it again.
Same happens to me, depending on where i'm driving the signal lost can be very minimal cutting out maybe a few seconds. I've noticed that HD signal is crap in the Ktown/DTLA area.
I will see if my HD Radio signal fades. I bought the car in early September and just discovered I has HD Radio yesteday. I enabled HD and it made a huge difference. There's a station I like here in Portland - KINK 101.9. HD on seemed to really separate the sound stage. The vocals were so clear. Now to report back on signal quality.
