Default Leather maintenance?

What product do y'all use to take care of your leather? I just bought some Meguires gold leather wipes, but there are some negative reviews on Amazon about that product making the leather hard.

I have been using Griots garage note riot cleaner and also the leather conditioner. It seems to be a better product than Lexol.

There's a great thread in the detailing forum, "All about Lexus leather".

Most automotive is sealed, there is no way to "condition" the leather. The best way to care for your seats and interior is to clean with a damp microfiber cloth and ocasionally use some mild soap...I like woolite

I've been using Leatherique for my Acura's in past and now for Lexus. Great product... buying from eBay or Amazon

Lexoil conditionner since it is water based and protect with aerospace 303 for UV = winning combo for all my leather treatment indoor and outdoor.

That thread is 28 pages and spans a decade. Cliff Notes.

1. To clean, use a WARM 1:10 Woolite:Water mix on a damp cloth. Agitate.
2. After cleaning, use a damp cloth to pickup any cleaner residue.

Do the above quarterly. Ignore the leather conditioners, oils, fat liquors, magic pixie-dust products. Those products don't penetrate the sealant and are more likely to hurt over time. Warm water will penetrate the sealant and in small amounts its good for your leather and all you need. If you MUST have a product recommendation other than Woolite, then Leather Masters Strong Cleaner and Leatherique seem to dominate this forum. Lexol and McGuires don't get much love, but everyone has an opinion here. (I cleaned my leather with X and it looks better!) Keep it simple. Clean it quarterly with warm water and woolite/LM Cleaner/Leatherique you'll do fine. Doing the cleaning is more important than the magic bottle you use.

To expand on the topic of sealant, Lexus (and others) use a polyurethane, flexible sealant on the leather so it stands up to abuse and long wear. This also prevents leather conditioners from soaking in, so that's why a mild detergent and water wipe down is sufficient.

It is also recommended to use the Leather Masters Leather Protection Cream as a means of reducing the transfer of stains onto the leather.

I did use it on my Bmw 535 on Dakota leather but as people suggested Lexus has coated leather and i don't think it'll do much on it.

I use leatherique on my GS and it Does work well on treated leather no matter the sealant on the leather when used as directed in a warm vehicle (apply liberally and leave in the sun for a day) it does a fantastic job of soaking in and driving the contaminants out. when I vacuum I wipe everything down with pristine clean and that works well as a daily leather cleaner/mild conditioner/UV protectant.

Question -- I see many mentions of UV protection from leather coatings -- glass filters UV and Lexus glass has additional UV filtering, so add a sun shade to the windshield and what benefit does an interior UV protector provide?

Default Pinnacle Leather Conditioner

I use Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. Works fantastic. Not greasy and applies easily. A bit expensive but worth it.
