I was reading a thread at one point that mentioned that CarPlay was going to be released for the 2013 GS at some point. Is there any more news on this? Or maybe an active thread that is already discussing?

New owner of a 2013 GS350 F Sport and would LOVE to see Apple's CarPlay become an option!

I don't even think this is possible. The HU got an upgrade for 2014, the 2013 won't even allow full screen nav. Would be nice, wouldn't count on it.

We need to band together and inundate Lexus customer service with requests for this...does anyone even use the Lexus stock navigation? I just completely ignore it and use my phone...which seems ridiculous

I use the Waze app exclusively with my iPhone magnetically clipped on. The car's OEM Nav is lower tier these days.

I wish I could mirror the Waze app via Carplay and utilize that big/wide screen we have.

What do you mean by magnetically clipped on?

Would love to hear what everyone else does with navigation...

There are many vehicle mounts for phones that use a powerful magnet to hold the phone in place. They may mount on the vents, CD slot, dash adhesive, windshield, etc.

That's what I presume he is referring to.

I've been using this one and have to say its the best mount i've tried.


I use Waze as well.

The "search" feature in the forums is very handy, btw.
