So I have no experience with cars which use a timing chain rather than a timing belt. My several previous cars all had timing belts and my first cars were rotary engine cars.
So with that said, what maintenance (or maintenance interval) is there with timing chains?
Man, I miss my rotary cars. Loved my street ported downdraft 13B engine. 10,000 rpm rev's were fun!

Nothing... The timing chain will probably last the life of the engine. But, if you hear a strange noise coming from the timing chain area of the engine (when the car is elderly) it could be the chain tensioner or guide pulley. Then, it would be a good time to replace the timing chain, guide pulleys and chain tensioner, but not until that happens...
PS - I always flinched after re-starting the rotary - waiting on the (POW!) backfire!

Thanks for the info.
Haha. Mine rarely backfired but when it did, wow....
So what are the cool things to do or places to eat after hours in Dallas? I have to travel there for work later this week.
