Default Increase Nav brightness - how?

I drive a 2014 GS but I am driving a GS loaner now that has a newer nav and no manual in glove box. How do I increase brightness of the nav screen? Also is there a way to switch back to 2D maps from 3D? Thanks!

After a lot of looking I've just about decided that you can't increase the brightness at all. Grrrr.

On the menu, click on display, adjust brightness.

To switch between 2D and 3D maps, click on the compass on the upper left corner of map.
