Hill start assist. Temporary hold for 3 sec or until u gun it.

It means you lost traction and you should have been corrected, is it still lit up.

dont think that is hill start assist. more like VSC. i hit that many times also when braking hard.

It is hill start assist, it will hold the brakes for a few seconds to allow you to switch from brake pedal to gas pedal.

Side note: The ABS system no longer "pulses" a sensation into the brake pedal when activated because people were letting off instead of pushing harder like you're supposed to when breaking in poor traction. Now when ABS is "working" or active, the traction light will flash, which is the exact same light used to flash while the hill start assist is active. You will also hear a beep when activated, and a double beep right before it lets go and the car starts "creeping" forward.
