Default clear bra?

hey guys..

with the new car, I'm thinking about adding an clear bra to the bumper + the hood..

I'm leaning towards 3m.. is there another brand i should go with? also, whats the prices for doing an clear bra for our cars? i got quoted $350 for the front bumper with an 10 years warranty.

thanks.

Look into Xpel Ultimate self healing clear bra. I've heard lots of good things about it.

xpel for lighter color cars. suntek for darker color cars. Do the whole front end: full bumper, full hood, quarter panels and mirrors

3M pro Series is new and also self healing. 7 year warranty, i think around $700, bumper, mirrors, 1/3 or so of hood.

I have a SunTek full kit on the LS, full hood and fenders. Had the 3M Ventureshield partial hood on the GS. The SunTek is a much better film, the self healing is incredible, and its so smooth you would never know there was a film on the car. Thats the route I'd go.

As others have suggested, XPEL or Suntek are the best options imho. Of course, these come at a premium in price.

I have XPEL Ultimate on my vehicle and love it.

If I had bought some super high end exotic, I would have clear bra'd the entire car, but 1/3 up the hood was fine for me.

Having had the 1/3rd hood and the full hood, I will only get the full hood from now on. Not having the line is nice, and I had some issues on the GS with chipping higher up on the hood and now don't have to worry about it.

I was quoted $990 for SunTek for entire hood, entire bumper, entire left/right fenders, and left/right side mirrors.

That's a great deal. Make sure it's a quality installer.

It does and it made me hesitate enough to call more places for a quote.

One place quoted me $1100 also for Suntek, and another quoted $1850.

Another place only uses Xpel Ultimate and they quoted $1450.

My Lexus dealer quoted $1190 but only the first 24" inches of the hood. I forget what film they use, I know it is not Suntek/Xpel.

So as of now I am still undecided...

I did a Nano Fusion clear bra on my ES and it is holding up well. It's self healing and has a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer and a 5 year free replacement from the shop that installed it. I have no issues and it's also guaranteed against yellowing.

I checked all of the products out before deciding on this and it compares well with all of them. It was $500 installed.
