Default Install extended wheel stud to 4th Gen GS

Can anybody share experience installing extended wheel stud to 4th Gen GS to put spacers on? How hard and time consuming to do this on all 4 wheels? If there're any pictures or instructions it will be SUPER!

Thanks a lot!

Might want to look into some spacers that don't require the installation of extended wheel studs. I personally don't have spacers but I know brands other than H&R don't require the extended studs.

I would advice against wheel studs. I got a set from H&R and too much work involved if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

I had a shop install my extended studs and was told it was a pain in the ###. LOL! They said the biggest headache was figuring out the e-Brake.

I'm not going to bother removing them, because it will easily cost me more in labor than I would get back from selling them. So I'll just donate the spacers with the car if I ever trade it in.

Thanks everyone! I didn't find anything around 15mm without installing extending stud. Can anyone share some part number that keeps the original studs?

Here is a post on different types of spacers that I wrote up a while back that may be helpful.

i think only the 10mm spacers would need extended wheel studs since i've heard the 10mm adapters don't have enough material to be sturdy enough.. 15mm+ you could get away with those spacer adapters that go over your existing wheel studs

Well, I haven't checked other brands but H&R DRM series (bolt-on studs spacers) start from 40mm. It's too wide for GS...

has one fitted a 10mm or 7mm (or perhaps 1/4") wheel spacer using factory studs?

Sorry I was wrong. The H&R DRM series spacer itself starts from 20mm but according to its website, only the 25mm DRM spacers fit GS.

Thas strange that it would impact the ride. It could make it softer by changing the leverage points...I habe 32mm spacers on mybes in the rear and it rubs a bit on big bumps...

I almost find the ride of the gs a bit too stiff on bumps...but thats probably more a function of tire pressure and tires than anything else.

i'm running a 5mm and thats THE most i would run and even right now, i feel a little sketch so i check on my lug nuts every other week to see if they're torqued down..

my friend was running 7mm before and his wheel just completely fell off taking a right turn even after torquing them down.... just not enough threads to help the lugs stay on...
