Bought a GS today
Ahhhhh, finally done. A long ordeal due to my back and ear issues (tinnitus) where cabin noise is an issue. My Subaru OB LTD will go, and i got a great deal due to Toyota's incentive.
Here in New England GS's come in AWD only.
When I arrived at the dealership they had a demo with just under 6,000 miles for me to drive Nebula and black leather. The car was extremely quiet, really liked it but wanted the Atomic Silver. Drove a new one but the cabin noise seemed greater, not comfortable for my ears (probably just me). Then i drove the demo again as a sanity check and it sure seemed quieter. Both cars had Michelin Primacy, so not tires. I asked if the would take the showroom GS out for me, Dunlop tires. I drove it and it seemed as quiet (at least as quiet) as the demo.
Got back to the dealer, worked out a final price and i will get the car next week.
In my trials i have driven many cars but in the lexus line the ES, RX, LS and GS. The GS is best for my back and this one is extremely quiet. I am very happy.

Thank you It sure can fly. My last great car was my 1973 2002. I had others but then 28 years of company cars dulled my senses. This is my retirement gift to myself. Funny haw the throaty noise when accelerating does not bother my ears, it does make me smile.

I love it when I'm cruising then floor the gas and the tranny dropped a few gears and the RPM shoots up. It gives that deep growl and pushed me to the back of my seat.
