Cool Smoked tail lights anyone ?

Am looking to tint my tails a darker red. I honestly think it will look a lot better, might just leave the reverse part alone not sure though.

Maybe not so dark...go for a shade between stock and the pic of the BMW and it should look nice.

Not for me either. But if you like it - I like it for you!

Tinted tail lights on a dark colored car never look good to me.

Check ur State law first if it's legal to tint tail lights. Friend of mine got pulled over for it and ended up having to strip his tinted windows too. Cops won't let u get away with just one ticket.

Do what makes you happy, it's your car. I don't think they would look bad. It does typically look nicer on lighter colored cars to give it contrast.

I like light smoke tail lights but really dark ones.....don't want to give a reason for my fellow officers to pull me over

I'm personally not a fan of the look.

I prefer the look of the red vinyl covering the amber part of the tail light

I'll pass. This mod dates back to more than a decade ago if i remember correctly. But for whatever reason, I see this mod on a comeback with newer cars nite shading their tails.

Dont worry they pull me over anyways...
Young(ish), Bald Head, beard in a GS, so I fit the description of every car jacker ever.

First question is ALWAYS:
"Excuse me, is this car yours?"

I'd be perfectly fine with that, if it didn't cheapen the look of the turn signal lights. Even with replacing them with Triton LEDs.. it really doesn't look good.

I agree! I took mine off as soon as I did the V3 triton led turn signal mod. The vinyl really cheapens the look. At first I was like oh this looks nice. Then I started to notice that the light output wasn't that great anymore and the light shining through the vinyl overlay seemed hazy. I wouldn't recommend this red out turn signal mod anymore. Save you $13 for something else. Not worth it. Plus I think the OP already has the red vinyl overlays on his car already.
