Default odb2 port issues

I have a 2014 GS350 F-Sport and wanted to ask if anyone else is having issues with their odb2 port.

So I have a odb2 scanner that I have been using on my other cars but when I plug it into my 2014 gs, it doesn't even turn on. I took it to the nearest dealership to have them test it out and they were able to connect it using toyota/lexus computer through odb2 port....

My odb2 scanner is from 2006... is there a different version of odb2 scanner that I need to get?

That is pretty strange, but since the Toyota scan tool worked that means your port is ok. I would look at the plug on the end of your scanner. Make sure you don't have any bent pins on your plug. Sounds like it isn't getting power at all.

You might have a bent pin. Mine works on my 15 GS, 11 G37S, 08 Crown Vic, 01 C230, 05 Jetta, and 10 Passat.

I have a bluetooth OBD2 device and hook it up to my 2014 GS350 F-Sport and it works with Torque (an Android app that reads the from the OBD2 device) just fine.

Hmm.... I just tested my odb2 connector on 06 is250, 08 tundra and 08 g37 and it works fine.

I thought that power pin might have been bent on my odb2 port so I put a battery in my scanner and plugged it in again but it says that I need to connect it to a odb2 port when it is already plugged in....

Can you guys tell which odb2 scanners you were able to use on your 4th Gen GS?

Is your firmware up-datable ? May need an update.
I'm using the same on as KJD3 and mine works fine as well. Nice unit as it can track a lot of variables real time.
One day I'm going to try regular gas and see what it does to the timing, etc.

Ha.... I just purchased that scanner and plugged into my GS' ODB2 port but still nothing. As soon as I plug mine in, bunch of dash lights start to flash so I made another appointment at the dealership to have them take a look at my GS....

Thanks for all your help guys!
