When I picked it up today, I asked to speak to the mechanic/tech, (which I'm not, so forgive me if I remember this incorrectly) that worked on it for an explanation. He said was that there was air trapped in the transmission lines somewhere. He explained to me how they have to measure the fluid levels and bleed the overflow. He thinks an air pocket/bubble or whatever made the system hiccup and caused the problem.

He stated that he felt 100% confident that it just wasn't filled properly originally and I should have no more issues with it. He said he wouldn't have given me the car back that soon if he felt like it was anything else. They are a good dealership and have been excellent to me and everyone I know, so I hope he's right. Drove it all day and has been perfect.
Sounds like pure BS. Call Lexus Customer service complain and make them give you a brand new car!

They finally found the problem. Bad control module for the transmission. They are in the process of replacing it, however the manager called me today and said that he wanted to make me happy, and that I may feel better if they just put me in a new car. This is great! Didn't even have to argue that much over it. I'm glad to see they are doing the right thing. So here's the new dilemma...

They do not have my color combo with my options on the lot, nor coming in anytime soon. He stated it was a rare combo and that if I wanted the same thing, I might want to just keep the car I have. I waited weeks for this car to come in. (I didn't order it, but knew it was on it's way) I've looked over the lot and the surrounding dealerships and nothing is to be found. Dealer stated that the choice was up to me, but we needed to wrap it up by the end of next week. Blessed and cursed I tell ya.
There we go, I had not even read the rest of the messages but based on their diag it sounded like pure BS. Good luck in getting this squared away or a new car. Do the right thing in case you need to do Lemon Law against Lexus!

Good for you, glad they did the right thing and you got a new car instead of keeping that Lemon which was likely going to give you more trouble down the road.

Swap a rebuilt tranny on a brand new 60k car? HAH. I will sue Lexus if that was the case. I bought a brand new car not a car with used tranny lol

Great!
I wouldn't want the other GS.
They can tell you it was this or that but it could be a lie.
I'd always be thinking about a possible issue.Peace of mind with another GS.

You might think so. Don't be surprised when your attorney advises otherwise.

Im sure the attorney knows more than I do. But where does buying a "Brand new" vehicle come in the purchase when their going to throw in a REBUILT tranny in a brand new car... Just don't understand doesn't it stat in the paperwork your buying a brand new car not a car that will be required a rebuilt tranny..
