Does anyone know what the TSB number is? If there even is one. Just bought a 2013 GS350 F Sport this weekend, and I noticed my driver's seat has this problem. I'm extremely OCD and it is driving me crazy. Car has 41k and is still under warranty.

They don't have a TSB for this issue. You just need them to experience the issue vs the brand new seat. Have them shake the seat while standing next to the car. It took a little convincing, but they ended up relaxing the seat tracks and the problem was resolved completely for me.

Ah, gotcha. Saw some members saying there was a recall or TSB, so I wanted to go to them with some proof. You can definitely tell there is something wrong, I can shake the seat just by using my hand.

I just got the car on Saturday, so I'll call my local Lexus dealership and get set up with a service advisor.

Form my experience, the dealer tries to deny the fact that's there's a problem. Just have the tech shake the seat. There's no reason a $35-40k used Lexus has a seat that shakes like a Yugo.

I totally agree. I'll just do what someone said and compare my GS to another one. I know the seat isn't supposed to do that, and they know it too. I just want the issue fixed.

That was me. I have a CPO '13 GS. I walked inside the showroom and tried to shake the brand new seat and schooled the tech.

Hopefully my advisor isn't that ignorant, but I have no issue doing that.

I haven't gone in to get this addressed yet, but since I'm due for an oil change I'm going to bring this up yet again and hopefully the new dealer I take it to can fix it instead of just denying it like my old dealer.

Good news: took my car in Monday and got it back earlier today, in the afternoon. Both my adviser and tech agreed that there was too much play, and they replaced the seat track under warranty. Everything is 100% now.

Glad to hear the problem was taken care of. I'll be going in to see the dealer soon.

I haven't checked to see if there's an actual bulletin related to this issue. It's hard to deny the issue once you put the tech on the spot with one that's stationary and one that has obvious movement. Raise hell.

Side note:

I recently bought a CPO Mercedes Benz and the attitude in the service department is completely different. The techs actually want to help solve problems rather than defend the shortcomings of the car and make you feel like you're an extra picky douchebag. Had this happen twice at Lexus, with two different cars.

Thought I would add this as well: The CPO Mercedes didn't cost any more than the CPO Lexus, either.

What do you mean by relaxing the seat tracks? Did they just unbolt the seat and re-tighten it?
My GS is at the dealer for passenger seat service bulletin. So the dealer said they would test drive the car and do heavy breaking to replicate the drivers seat moving back/forth.

I'm out of warranty but I hope all it needs is a simple adjustment.
