Lexus now has 2.0 inline 4 turbo which will go into NX first and then into RC and IS.
Hopefully GS too.

Im sure 3.0 v6 Turbo is in development but nobody knows the timeframe?
I just hope its an inline 6.
MB is also going back to inline 6 engines.

Considering Audi, BMW, Jaguar, MB all have 3.0 FI engines some for several years now - Lexus def needs a competitive engine.

I think it will be introduced when new LS comes out, as the base engine for the LS.
Im hoping for 2016 model year.....

They already have the 2 liter turbo engine in the NX200t, with plans to use it in the IS, GS, RC, and perhaps others. I believe more turbos are coming.

As for a four cylinder hybrid, that's already being used in the ES300h and NX300h.

Lots of new and exciting things to come from Lexus!

Yeah.. Lexus definitely needs to follow the pack..? They are competitive, just in an old school, reliable way.

Like it or not, if you want to play in the big league, you need to follow (or lead) the big league.
