Default Help with Wald Trunk Spoiler!!!

I've purchased the entire wald kit and I just got it installed. I received an email from the shop that did the installation telling me the trunk spoiler is not sitting well and that it is changing shape in the heat. I'm like wtf!

The front, rear and side skirts are perfectly aligned and installed. It's just an issue with the trunk spoiler. They also told me to reach out to the manufacturer which I have done. Have any of you experienced anything remotely similar?
Thanks!

Ask your shop for some pics. I would like to see what exactly he is referring to. I don't have the wald spoiler on mine but was thinking about getting one soon.

Wald's fitment is one of the best out there. Even Lexus dealers in Japan install and sell cars with Wald kits. There is something not right here. Post pictures if you have...

I received the pics via gmail and the trunk spoiler fit looks bad. On top of that there's a crack on the right side. I'm away from my computer and for the life of me can't post pics. I'll post as soon as I get to a computer.

Here are the pics from the shop. I also just received a response from Jonari (distributor for Wald) and they informed me not to use 3M tape. They recommended using a silicone sealant??? I passed the message on to the body shop that is trying to work with me and they're telling me silicone will pull the paint off if I wanted to go back to stock. I'm at a loss here. Fingers crossed the shop can get it fixed...

Just mold that bad boy. It'll look sick. No going back though.

Molding, is not out of the question. But, will certainly impact trade in or resale. I wonder how much a new trunk costs anyway?

Just do a trade + cash for your trunk with another member when you are ready to sell. Molded Wald Trunks hold their value nicely ---- that is if you plan on parting out the car before you sell it.

Hey a little off topic! Where did you get the wald kit. I have just the front lip and would like to get the rest of the kit! Hope you find a solution to the spoiler!

Thumbs down

They first sent me a chip and very scratched up spoiler ( looked used) couldn't believe they even sent it in that condition.,so i returned it and the second one was a lot better but still had a minor chip on the corner .I had the same issue with mine..little less gap on corners and about the same in the middle like your pic shows . took some work to close up the gap..i used black flex silicone to fill in the gap and you can't really notice the gap.Was expecting perfect fitment from WALD for what we pay. (disappointing)

Clark at VIP auto salon. He's been very responsive and even offered to moderate between me and Jonari. I got a iPhone pic sent to me from the shop and they've managed to improve the fitment. When I get better pics I'll post them.

Man, this makes me hesitant about getting the Wald kit. Bad fitments, chipped and scratched parts.

Thanks for the disclosure. Puts the breaks on me ever considering WALD given the poor initial fit reported by two members above.

That's the beauty of the kit and why I chose it. It's very subtle and looks like it came straight from the manufacturer.
