Default Beat Sonic question

Maybe you guys can help me here. I installed my beat sonic module today and have some concerns. I followed the instructions but I did not mount the module to the underside of the radio unit using the tape. Didn't see the tape initially in the box and just wrapped it halfway with the gray foam they provided to help with rattles.

Anyway, when I deactivate the switch my navigation does calibrate back to my position. It just picks up where the car was when I activated it. Do I have to program this module or is it a possible install issue?

Please tell me you don't have to calibrate the cars position everytime you use this thing.

Thanks for for the help.

Need to give it 10-20 seconds.

I have the PS module, it takes a bit to re-position.

I've given it 2 to 3 minutes. Doesn't recalculate.

I check the install to make sure everything was plugged in correctly. I even mounted the module to the bottom of the radio.

Do the two antenna wires need to be plug into something? I just zip tied them to get the out of the way.

I didn't see anything on the instructions.

I just finished the install and verified correct operation... if you push the button a second time you'll reactivate the GPS... it's a "quick cancel" if you will. Otherwise, the GPS signal timeout will default to whatever you programmed it to be. Mine was set to a 2 minute timeout by default; so 2 minutes after the first press the GPS signal should reactivate... i was impatient on my test run and just hit the button again to have the GPS reactivate.

Under the radio is a good mounting position... I just wrapped the unit in the foam and threw it to the side inbetween the radio and the glove box =)
