Default Dealer Customization Settings

I'm getting near my 5K service and wondered what are your favorite changes that you made in the Dealer Only settings?

Strangely, my car came with all the customized settings perfect minus the blinker setting. The one-touch blinker I had changed from 3 blinks to 5. I don't like to surprise people when I'm changing lanes, they could be updating twitter and miss the third blink.

If yours isn't set, make sure you get the "open all windows including sunroof" if you hold the unlock button down. Living in GA (according to your user info up there) I'm sure you'll use this in the long summer ahead. Mine was set this way already.

Word, I got the black on black and I could use this feature. Especially when the temps go beyond 100 degrees like in Vegas, AZ and Palm Springs.

If you live in those climates and your car is stuck outside, invest in quality ceramic tint like Huper Optik also. Blocks 80% of infrared light and will keep cabin temps 20 degrees cooler on average. Not a sales rep, just a fan and have had it on 3 cars. Makes a huge difference in Texas.

Truth!! Texas heat stings but the ceramic tint makes a significant difference. In fact I have 20% and 15% and you can actually feel two different temperatures in the car itself

Is there a list of options the dealer can program? Before someone asks, I am out of town and don't have the car or manual with me.

Not a silly question, I have no idea why it says "Vehicles without Navigation system:" in giant letters, but I think it may just be showing how to access the settings in a nav-less vehicle (not sure why that would matter either).

If you go into lexus drivers, then manuals & resources, on the left is a link for "Personalized Settings" and links to this PDF. Its the only one I've seen. There is a chapter on customization in the owners manual though.

I set mine for 5 blinks, to open all the windows and sunroof with the remote unlock button held down, and to change the volume of the turn signal blinker to "SOFT".

I think the sound the blinker makes sounds much more refined set to soft.

Dealerships will do a complimentary customization during your 5k service. After that they will charge. If you have a good relationship with your service advisor they're usually good about helping you out though.
