Default Limited tire choices

I have 235/40/19 in front and 265/35/19 in rear and I'm surprised not one tire company offers an all season tire. They only offer summer and winter tires. I could go to 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 but they are approx 1/2 shorter and I don't want to add 1/2 inch to the wheel gap. I'm on RS-R springs for my AWD 4GS. Any suggestions??

I use 245/40R19 for all 4 rims on my 2014 GS350 F-sport in Michein Primacy MXM4 tires for spring to fall and bridgestone blizzaks lm-32 for winter. ITs a perfect size. Thank god I don't have staggered.

If you go 245/40R19 front and 275/35R19 like the few people doing on the board, then you get 5 choices of all seasons.
The best is:
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...earDiameter=19

Then Bridgestone Potenza Pole RE970 A/S

Then Contiental DWS. I avoid these because 3x I got bad sets on 3 separate cars. Terrible quality control and horrendous vibrations. I ended up switching to Michelins.

What you are doing is overcompensating one up size for a down size in another. Don't do that. This 245/40R19 and 275/35R19 keeps it at 1% speedo error which is suitable for this car.

Thanks for your feedback. The current stetup has a difference of .1 of overall diameter. 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 has a .14 difference. 245/40/19 and 285/35/19 has a .13 difference. They are all very close so I guess I'll have to go with either one of the last 2 sizes for all season tires.

Great info! Thanks. Staggered sets can get pricey, especially with Z rated summer Michelins.

The guys above live in Michigan and I noticed you're also from CA. Are you planning on getting all-season tires or summer tires only?

Hmmm..noticed that too. All summers most likely.

In my BMW days, staggered Michelin Pilot Sports 255/fronts, 275/rears can get pricey. I saved some money going for Falkens without much falloff in performance... but not being able to rotate wheels sucked.

Agreed. What size tires did you wind up getting?

If you stick with Run Flats that the 5 series have it's really ugly. You are looking at about $1700 for a set of new tires.

Yup, that sounds about right. Car in the shop every month + pricey tires = Money Pit. And this happened to me right when the market was about to take a nose dive, not a good time to own this type of car.

These days, better to roll smarter and get something reliable (Lexus).

I am looking to get a different tire size for my F Sport - My rears are OUT after being lowered for less than 6 months.. I have less than 12K miles on my car - less than half of that was the car being lowered.. SAD STORY!

Just installed on my 350 staggered set up: Michillin Pilot Super sport / Front: 235/40ZR19XL 96Y BSW. Rear: 265/35ZR19XL 98Y BSW. summer. They seem much quieter and smoother than the Bridgestone Potenzas were and they were the only other matched set I could find, if that even matters on a staggered set up?? I think they look cool too! They seemed to get good reviews as far as I could tell.
