IIRC Enform has been given to us complimentary some time this year. I bought my car used Oct. 2012 and it was set to expire that Feb. But it was renewed complimentary. I don't know how/why but it's worth calling Enform and seeing what they say. I got the email about a month before it was set to expire btw.

Are you talking about safety connect with destination assist? Lexus Enform is free now with no subscription needed.

I think Enform no longer requires a subscription for use with apps like Pandora, Yelp, Open Table, etc. I believe there will still be a fee for destination assist and safety connect.

I tried to negotiate a lower price or cancel. They would not budge.

I had to go into Lexus website, login and sign up for Enform Apps.

I subscribe to Safety Connect as it has remote stolen vehicle tracking which earns a discount on insurance. The discount more than covers the cost of the subscription.

Never subscribed to Enform, however. Glad to hear its now free.

Would the insurance really know if it expired though...you'll probably still get the discount with an expired subscription.

May be not
But they will know for sure , if there was actually and event and they will ask you to use the service to locate the car

The insurance company asks for proof of subscription every time the policy renews.

The app portion of enform is an embarrassment for Lexus. It does not work for me most of the time. My gf's honda Accord pandora app works 95% of the time. They should fire their current software engineers and hire the honda guys.

Enform works for me 100% of the time. I have a Samsung S4. No issues at all.

Did you mean to write that your insurance discount for having Safety Connect pays for the service?

The service is $139/yr, and my insurance discount is only about $30/yr.
