Default 2014 luxury model

So I visited/called a few Northern California dealers looking for a 2014 luxury model. No one seems to have any, but say they will find me one. Then they check inventory and realize there aren't many around. One dealer told me "they are fazing out the luxury model; people are buying the F Sport." He said they are only available by special order. That doesn't seem right, but there are not many around. Anybody know about this?

All lies IMO. I'll go as far to say F-Sport sales are not even 1:1 with the premium/luxury. While the '14s are slowly coming in, the dealerships want to push the '13s out, and they'll say anything to get you in one. Stand firm and get the car you want.

Wouldn't surprise me....Lexus has done similar things with the UL models in the ES and LS...

Has anyone noticed that on the Lexus site you can no longer build a 2014 GS with the luxury package

Just tried it, I'm able to build a '14 GS with lux package using a NY zip code.

Default 2014 luxury model

Received a lease quote of $680 per month plus tax for a 36 month lease @12,000 miles per year for a luxury model. 0 down; MSRP at $59,402, invoice at $55,725. Car includes ML, Nav, blind spot, park assist, illuminated sills and accessory (cargo net/wheel lock, etc.). Supposedly he gave me first payment and $1,200 drive off. It does NOT have cold weather package, lane change, power trunk, heads up display or pre collision.

What do you think?

That deal doesn't sound that great to me. $680 plus tax seems really high.

Below is the information on my GS purchase from 11/16/13.

2014 GS350 F-Sport
Ultra White with Flaxin Interior
Nav and ML
Blind Spot, Park Assist, Power Folding Mirrors, Illuminated Door Sills
Accessory Pkg - trunk mat, cargo net, wheel locks
MSRP $59,292
Sales Price: $54,000 (before lease cash & 1st month payment special)
Lease: 27 months, 10k miles per year, $569/month (includes 7.5% tax), $0 down, $0 at delivery
Residual: 71%
Money Factor: 0.0006

This deal is pretty good so far as a 36 month lease, my lease is similar to this (from before they broke out with these great 27 month leases.

Ask them what they would do on a 27 month lease....

You need to find out the residual % and the interest rate as well.

If you are in California, the money factor should be 0.0009. That is what I just got this past Saturday.

My residual was 68% + 3% (for only 10k miles) = 71%

You might do much better if you go for a 27 month lease. From what others on this forum have statued, Lexus will let you extend the lease at the same payment for an additional 6 months. That would take you to 33 months. I would also check the money factor.

Just finalized a 36 month lease, 12k mi/yr, on a 2014 luxury package in NY. The residual is 62% and MF is .0009.

I'm trading in an older lexus, using some of the trade for fees+tax, and down payment to reduce mo payments, and pocketing some cash. Without factoring in the trade, in a situation where you only put down taxes and fees upfront, the lease would be approx. $639.74/mo.

ETA: Its a Luxury package + Nav + cold weather pkg + blind spot w/ pwr mirrors + park assist + one touch trunk + wheel lock/trunk mat/cargo net.
