New Guy....Picked Up My First Lexus
Been an owner most recently of Acura and Nissan. The Acura, a 2008 RDX with Tech Package, has about 99,000 miles and runs like a Swiss watch. I started to trade it in but kept it. All it ever needs is oil changes. Now also the proud owner of a new 2013 Lexus GS 350. It's that Meteor Something Blue color, really beautiful. Had it three weeks now, and close to 600 miles. Beautiful car. AWD, heated and ventilated seats, power rear sunshade, and a rear deck spoiler.
One question I have is it came with low profile 18 inch Michelin tires. Are these tires standard? How good are they?

Trying to learn how to post a pic. Ah, there we go.
I considered BMW and MB but don't quite trust "German engineering." I also thought the Lexus had the best interior. Finally, as a current Acura owner, I even test drove the new flagship Acura RLX with the jewel headlights. Roomiest sedan in the class by far, which I loved. But I didn't like the double media screens (why?) or how it drove like an appliance. But the biggest sin is the current lack of AWD without a hybrid engine. Actually, the current lack of AWD period. It's too bad. My RDX's SH-AWD (super handling all wheel drive) is the best on the market. The thing laughs at heavy rain--treats it like dry pavement. It makes Audi's Quattro second class. Don't know how good Lexus AWD is but can't imagine it's quite as good as SH-AWD. I also considered Infiniti M37X, but the exterior design felt dated to me, and it only looks great in black.

Congrats! I saw this color the other day. Looks good in the sun when clean.
Flaxen leather? I see you have headlamp washers (?). Don't see that very often here. Enjoy. And yes, I agree. GS has the best interior. I drove around last Saturday checking out Audis, Porsches (already checked out the bimmers) and have to agree. GS has the best interior for its price range and more.
