Really would like the 8-speed tranny, power mirrors/trunk, and flush park sensors. Oh well, always get screwed when you buy a new model... :/

Lexus must combine Luxury and F-Sport in one. Be sure to add 2 extras: F-Sport Brakes and Rims.

As someone who is interested in a GS350AWD Luxury I see some nice improvements for 2014

I was hoping Ultra White would have been offered across the line, but at least those interested in FSport will have the option to get that color.

Yes, I would love to have the new features, but it's not worth the $15k or so I would lose trading on a new one. It's not like they're adding more power or torque.

New colors and aluminum trim that doesn't dent might make me think twice.
agree 100% that the changes are not worth trading in. but for the people who purchased in the last few months, i'm sure most would have waited for this model. you really dont anticipate such relatively major changes 1 year into the life cycle. now that i switched back to bmw i really love my power mirrors and power trunk, and use them on a daily basis. i'm always putting stuff into my trunk, and love being able to either swipe my foot under the bumper (not sure if lexus is bringing that) and not getting my hands dirty when closing the trunk. small things but are nice

I like the upgrades, but I'm going to wait till a new engine is introduced to trade out of my lease. If the price is right, a GS F.

Is a color HUD part of the '14 lineup?

LOL, theres nothing significant about these changes.

There will always be an improved car. Every year its going to be improved. What should they do, not move forward so as not to "slap 2013 owners in the face"?! The product will always evolve and improve.

Had I waited I'd have these features which obviously all things being equal I'd prefer, but then I would not have enjoyed driving my 4GS that I love over the past 10 months.

You always take a depreciation hit when the new model year comes out. Guess what...it'll happen again when the 2015 comes out.

Features or no new features, a new car will take the biggest depreciation the 1st two years or so. I needed a new car, I liked the GS, I bought it. I still like it and will probably keep it 10+ years like my last car. I'm simple like that.

The only 2 features on GS 2014 that I wish I can have on the current 2013 are:

Auto folding side mirrors
Powered trunk

That's it.

i'm really pissed about the 8 speed.. a year in and the car is already outdated in a big way. Our re-sale value just took a huge hit

edit - just read the press release, am I seeing this correct, the 8 speed is only on the rwd NOT awd

Yup. Just like the 3IS. Awd owners get shafted once again.

now i don't feel so bad... it would be nice to have the power trunk and folding mirrors. The trunk for obv. reasons but the mirrors because i know visually that the car is locked since i don't have to press the button on the fob anymore...
I'm glad my lux doesn't have the superchrome wheels, i think i would have a second job keeping them pit free!
