Default Custom color order possible?

I'm eyeing a GS lease later this year, Im still waiting to hear what the '14 model year changes will be if any. I have a bit of an obsession with blue cars. For me, take even the most beat up old nasty garbage, paint it blue and I will like it!

Anyway, my dream would be to order an F sport GS350 in ultrasonic blue mica. Is this possible? How much extra would it add to the cost? Thanks for the help and this forum has been a great resource for info, especially financial deals available.

Welcome to the forum. As far as I know there is no way to custom order a GS in any color other than what is offered. Your best bet is to wrap the car after you get it. It would cost between $2500 and $4000 I believe.

You can always buy a car and have it re-painted

Anything is possible with money

that'd be painful to see someone repaint a brand new car with beautiful paint!

Vinyl wrap is an excellent alternative. Much much cheaper somewhere between 1600-2000 compared to 5000 to repaint and they come in matte, satin or glossy. You can wash the car as you would with regular paint without any problem.

Thanks guys, its what I figured since I hadnt heard or seen ANY colors on the car other than what it came in. Shame they dont at least offer that color on the F-sports since the IS-F does as does the IS-F sport.

Oh well. And I wouldnt consider painting it, it would be a mess to do correctly and way more than its worth to do. Not to mention it would completely kill its resale. Wrapping may be an option, we shall see.

I wish we could custom order colors, or, at least be able to choose any color Lexus uses and interior combo colors that Lexus uses on this model. We might have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive and pay a premium but.. why not?

Toyota doesn't even allow you to configure your vehicle any way you'd like it on the Lexus website. They want to push you in to region specific packages to ease their inventory system's demands. Given the price point of a Lexus vehicle it seems assinie. The German manufacturers allow you to customize your vehicle, including its paint color, to a much higher degree.

I noticed that on the website whwn I was first looking.. they asked for my zip code before anything, then wanted to show local inventory only

That's the Japanese way of doing business. It's more efficient and profitable for them to sell this way. Just be glad you don't buy a Japanese motorcycle. You generally have the option of three colors. LOL
