Default Buff Wax

I've had the GS for about 13 months now. Is it too early to do a 3 step buff wax job? They use a 3M product, first buff is intense, then lighter and then the 3rd is by hand.

thx

they said they do an initial buff that removes all the dead stuff , then the next buff is really fine taking swirls out and the final wax

Sounds like Meguiars process, wash, swirl remover and wax.

oh, . why didn't you just say you were getting her detailed . so she's being polished to remove scratches and swirls, then finished down with a finishing polish to remove any defects left from the first polish, holograms etc... and a wax. gotcha, post pics when she's done we would like to see the results.

Absolutely! Like Syd said, it's never to soon...I know some people take their cars straight from the dealer to their preferred professional detailer and do a "new car prep" detail.

Since you are getting it done professionally (I assume), I would not worry about the car only being 13 months old. You would be surprised at the imperfections in the finish cars have right from the showroom...They pick up fine scratches in shipping and even in the dealer delivery prep.

i've taken my cars (plastic and all) straight from the dealer to have them detailed. i was surprised that when i got the LS Phil@DD said there were only a couple of small imperfections, but the LS was in the warehouse fresh off the boat so no one had a chance to touch it. i told him to do your magic and OC 20 on everything please .

car washes are a no-no. unless that's your only means of washing the car in the winter. try Optimum ONR, i know you'll like it. took me a couple of years to try it but when i did , i don't think i'll ever wash the car with anything else. no scratches or marring... period. go to you tube and search the Gary Dean method, or sign up on the Optimum forum and you'd be surprised at what you'll find. you'll never need to take the car to a carwash again.

It's kinda sad how delicate this car is, I swear I feel like im holding a baby every time I drive around in this car. Always gotta be careful more than I ever was with my 3GS, Well OP your car looks good and it shines like its suppose too.
