Default Isn't life a ***** sometimes?!?

So I was at the Lexus dealer asking the service guy a couple of questions about my new GS and I walk out with the service guy only to have him point out some damage on the front of my car. I look down at the car with surprise and disgust and said to him that wasn't there a second ago. Where was the guy that hit me??? There was no note and no one around the car. Classic hit and run. No sooner did someone coming out of dealer saying he saw the whole thing and got a license plate number. His phone number was in the dealer records and we called him to ask him why he just took off. He said he didn't think that it was so bad. WHAT!!! He ended up driving back and I was able to get his insurance information and got an estimate of almost $2000 to fix it.

I'm telling you guys some people these days are such *******s with no respect for anything or anyone but themselves. Those people need to just rot in hell.

If anything you should be ecstatic that someone caught that

I'm getting pissed off just reading this post. The saving grace is that most crooks are stupid; hit and run at a Lexus dealership with many witnesses. Seriously?! It would have taken a lot of restraint not to lay into him. Hit and runs are becoming so common in Texas.

This is par for the course in the take no responsibility present day times.

Not to mention cameras are everywhere these days and dirt bags still think they can run away with no consq's.

Could always press charges for hit and run on the damage if your local area has these laws. I'd use it to teach the guy a lesson. Didn't think it did much damage. I'd have asked the guy if he would have been ok with you doing the same to him? I'm guessing that guy won't be back to service at that dealership again, lol.

your still one of the lucky ones. usually noone catches them and they just take off like nothing happened, leaving the owner to pay for damages out of pocket

Man, at least you had a witness and were able to get ahold of the guy! I'd be even more pissed if you were left to pay for it all on your own! Still is unfortunate, but at least you got lucky! Hope you get it all patched up quickly!

WTH, is he serious I would have lost it. Your my friend are a lucky man that someone caught that. He probably thought he was going to get away with it. He should be banned from driving on the road, if e thinks $2k is not serious.

That doesn't surprise me that he left. I had a customer come in for an estimate one time, she said the person left her a not that said "Im only leaving you this note because somebody seen me hit you" What a douce bag!!

I'm glad everything worked in your favor in the end

i'm not surprised at the **** people do nowadays. glad someone witnessed it. someone should have video taped it and sent it to the Worlds Dumbest Criminals Show. can we see the damage? i'm just curious to see what he deemed as "not that bad"... in my book, any damage to a brand new car is bad.

I think "not that bad" means "I don't think anybody saw me"

Wow...if that guy thought $2000 isn't that bad, maybe he should pay out of pocket and see if it hurts then...
