Newbie question here: What do these various model codes mean? Mine is 9300A. I've seen 9300 and 9300C as well for the 2013 GS350. Sorry if this has been well-covered, but I couldn't find any information in FAQ or search. At first I thought it had to do with the package options, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Does it have to do with certain build series? Any significance to the distinction?
So what would the model code be for an AWD F-Sport?
Seems like I actually remember seeing that code listed on the spec sheet that the dealership will email you when you're shopping for a car. The same form that has the Cargo Ship #, Port Name, Ship Date, Place of build.
Suffix A and C has to do with manufacturer allocation code.
Ah, interesting. Thanks for the info! Not sure exactly what "manufacturer allocation code" means, but this stands to reason that the "A" or "C" has nothing to do with the options or particular trim of the GS350 (i.e., luxury, F sport, etc.).
A is definitely F sport.
I originally thought the "A" or "C" designation might have some correlation to the F sport or Luxury models as well, but further research showed this not to be the case. Also, my non-F sport (Luxury) GS350 is designated as model 9300A on the sticker and dealer printout.
