He's talking used GS350's.

yes used GS350. I don't see any in the range yet, willing to wait for what I want. I figure a new 2013 ES UL being around $46,000, when the time comes so if I got a GS would have to be that price. Not sure if that will be doable or not. Again, just getting ideas now.

I have 3 more years to work and am looking at a new or newer car, so it will last a while. My TSX is a 2005 w Nav and has 101, 500 on it now. Has been trouble free, except for a new alternator 2 years ago

Yes I know. I was thinking 48k for a used 350 not 45k just yet. At least not 45 k for an f sport with a few added options like BSM. I feel sorry for someone buying a new GS 350 in 2013 and having to dump it in rather short order since someone could have bought one in Feb 2012 and driven it for a year or more and get the same as someone owning one with much less time(assuming same mileage at time of sale) Too much time between the initial release and the 2014 so in the fall the pricing should reflect a 2 year old car or along the lines of a comparable 2012 of another manufacturer. Good for those of us who like to buy used

Go new ES and get exactly what you want for colors and options!

The car was in pristine condition and I saved a couple thousand. CPO GSs are running in the mid fourties in Florida and they're pretty optioned up. Good luck with your choice!
I completely agree. This really boils down to how much driving fun you want in a car. The GS is the best of both worlds... luxury and quiet when you want it and a hoot to drive when you want that. The ES is just luxury and quiet. Also, the materials used in the GS interior are more upscale. I would go for the used GS. Drive them both, then make your decision.

I'll echo what a few others have said, the 2012 GS is nothing like the 2013 GS. Is there even a 2012, or did it go from 2011 to 2013?

I would not consider a previous generation GS over the ES, either the new ES or the previous gen ES (I just came from a 2010 ES).

Any interest in leasing? If so...the GS is not much more to lease than the ES. In my experience it was about $20 a month more for the Premium GS and maybe $50 more for the Luxury GS. Not nearly the deals available on the ES, and since both have a high residual the combination of low purchase price and high residual makes the GS a screamin' lease deal.

Both are great cars, but the ES is definitely a step above.

The new ES is very good looking. If you don't mind driving a FWD car, go for the ES.

2013 at auctions are fetching 39-40k for 10k miles. I'm sure you can find a dealer on ebay offer him 41-42K

You might even want to consider the new 3G IS coming in the 2014 MY, which is just a smaller version of the 4G GS.

You mentioned you're still working for 3 years. Why not put the money spent on payments towards savings and save up a little more towards a new GS?

I want a bigger car then the IS and more luxury. As far as working my car by the time I trade it will have between 112,000 and 115,00, so it's time for anew car
