if they are going to refinish it.. why not refinish your defective finish wheel?

what a waste to destroy OEM finish by doing aftermarket that will chip away.

There is more contrast with Liquid Platinum, but even so, if I had the chance I would go the same route as well. Most likely machine finished for LP, but I think hyper silver would look great with Obsidian.

I agree, I have black too and I think either machine or hyper silver will look great. I wish I had that option, waiting for future GS 350 to have this wheel and I'll be the first guy to swap them out. I think a black car looks much better with silver/ chrome wheels.

Can't wait to see the pics.

Hey Syd: Your call on what you do, I won't comment on that. But congrats on getting them to acknowledge it and make it right!

exactly, there is no way that someone can properly sand perfectly in every crevice and refinish the wheel. The wheel will eventually chip or discolor. Hell they might even mottle the finish from the get go.

Re-think it.

The only finish that will have a better chance of lasting is powder coating.

Looks pretty similar to what my TL (18" wheels) has. I wax them frequently along with the car and they stand out. The graphite color of the F-Sport wheel just doesn't shine and stand out as much as my silver wheels do, and I have 3 coats of sealant on them so far in the 3-months I have owned it.
