Default Whooshing Sound

I have a new 2013 GS F Sport and when I accelerate I get a whooshing sound. My service advisor heard it but said he never heard it before and doesn't know what it is. I'm bringing it in in a few weeks for my first oil change so maybe the tech will know but I doubt it based on my advisors comments. Anyone know what it is and how to eliminate it?

I do oil changes at 5K intervals. Also, some old school folks believe in doing a first oil change at 1K - 2K.

Are you sure Toyota 0W20 is synthetic?

Default Whooshing sound

All
I wrote about the whooshing sound I get when accelerating but most have focused on my first oil change. Re. That .... The first oil change is at 5000 miles.. But my concern is with the whooshing sound. I only get it when I accelerate. Has anyone experienced it with their GS? Any ideas?
Thanks.

I haven't experienced and have no idea what it could be. I doubt any others know either, which is why the thread evolved into a discussion of oil change frequency. Sorry!

Does the sound come from the engine comparftment? Is it under hard acceleration when you hear it, or all the time? Remember that the car has been designed to provide more engine intake sound (a type of whoosh) under spirited driving.

@caddyowner, "sounds" like it
@Stual - does it sound more like a growl than a whoosh? Does it sound like the engine sound in
? If so, that is normal for the new GS.
