ok, got one for you. when you start your car and let it warm up,,,,,, does it shake? i thought it was because the AC was running. tried it without the AC and it does the same thing. it feels like it's under the hood. could it be the engine warming up or ,,,,,, i have no clue and is it normal?
it's not a violent type of shaking but just enough to get your attention, lasts maybe 1 to 1 and a half minutes if that. the reason i'm asking is i never noticed it before, the car has close to 3700 miles on her and i noticed it maybe a week ago. i'll give it a couple more days and take it to the dealer which i am not looking forward to. i am about to enroll in LEXUS COLLEGE. Being that i'll probably by lexus until i'm 100 i might as well learn everything about this brand. knowledge is power.

Reason: add
My car is loud at idle. Not violent shaking or anything, but more shake than my sister's old '99 Camry used to have. I thought it was a bit out of character, but everyone else has it too. I think there's another thread/mention on it somewhere on CL.
My RX isnt a 2013 GS but it sounds like a diesel truck. I know that can't be normal.
Direct Injectors? My GS had a loud ticking when the hood was open so I went to the dealer and compared it to another like car and they sound the same. Its the injectors. I guess they are like 2900 psi compared to the old 50 psi intake ones. I also found a powerpoint giving an overview of the system and normal sounds and how to explain the system to a customer when they complain.

Oh, I never knew that. I was under the impression something was wrong with my RX.
The engine does shake (vibrate) a little more than I'm used to. My BMW doesn't vibrate at all.
It's not the injectors (BTW the loud ticking is the injector solenoids, not the injectors), at idle the engine does not used direct injection, it's using port injection (2GR-FSE D-4S system) .
Sevn86 - the 2GR-FE engine in your RX 350 doesn't have direct injection, but it is still your injector solenoids you are hearing.

Mine is back at the dealer right now for 3 problems:
1. Wind noise by driver's window (sounds like it's coming from the left mirror - but very loud wind nosie
2. Vibration in steering wheel, especially when tires are cold - they've been balanced three times so far
3. HIGH RPM IDLE. It's idling at 800 rpm, so when I put it in any gear, it jerks. They said they can't adjust the idle speed - I sure hope they can do something!
