Has anyone seen any comparison of these two systems? The price difference is only $60 but one of them (Prestigious Society product) apparently loses the map while the bypass system is activated and regains it once the system is deactivated. Not a deal killer but something of which you should be aware.
I want to have such a system installed on our newest Lexus and seek the collective wisdom of this group as to which product is best.
both systems, when activated, will lose the map while override is in action.

I will gladly stand corrected if Beat Sonic found a way to keep the map updated (even though you're not looking at the map while watching a DVD).
on 2013+ gs (and depending on other models), the gps is not killed when dvd is playing. so the map is still running as is in the background. it only gets cut off when you are overriding the navigation. this is for sure the case for prestigious society, but i think the beatsonic should behave the same

what year is your es? your profile said 2014. if so, your head unit should be able to play dvd?

Thanks rominl for the explanation. Yes, the beatsonic behaves the same that the GPS is not killed when DVD is playing and the map is still running as is in the background. However, when overriding the navigation, the GPS will get cut off and the vehicle will stop on the map.
BTW, just couple more days until out Groupbuy is over!
the device enable video playback on navigation screen (instead of grayed out) when the car is moving. it doesn't add any video playback modes. so you will need ways to connect the videos up to the factory screen first
