In my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, the remote start combines with the temperature sensor. If it's cold out (I don't know the specific temp) the remote start turns on the heated seats and when it's warm, it'll start the cooled seat function.
If I remember reading it correctly it states if you have the remote start in the GS, you can set your heat/ac and seats to the desired setting so when the car is remote started it is the way you want it upon entering.
I've had a number of vehicles with ventilated seats. Two of them stayed on where ever you set the ****, the rest go off when you turn the vehicle off. Here in Houston, I need the ventilated seats on for 6 months straight and I get tired of having to remember when I get in the car, or wait until my back starts sweating.
I can understand why they would not want the heat staying on automatically, but I don't get the issue of leaving ventilated seats on as it is just a fan running.
It would drive me insane if I found out they go off after ten or fifteen minutes.
I thought that in eco mode (only), the seat warmer/vent would turn on/off as decided by the car's computer. Does it work this way in normal mode too? If so, ick..
