Default LED bulb for 4GS

I change visor, door lamp, mirror puddle, trunk and back up bulbs to LED.

Does any one try to change the turn signal bulbs to LED yet? Can we use the LED flasher relay to fix the hyper flashing?

I've done the trunk with a 25 LED and have ordered a LED panel. Which bulbs did you use for the trunk, puddle and visor?

...perhaps a DIY guide?

I use the 12 led panel for visor because it give the warm white matching the stock interior led.

Door lamp, trunk you can use 15 led panel, its a bit cool blue white. I use 2-15 led panel hook up like below for the trunk.

All LED order SMD 5050 type (the brightest one). It's cheap and make the car look better. I wish I could change the stock interior LED to this bright one. I got Black leather so it kinda dark inside for me.

Use this one for mirror puddle light, can be use in visor too, very bright warm white with only 4-SMD:

This one for backup, dont stare at it will blind your eyes:

The interior lights you can only change the visor bulbs, the console and rear seat can't be done.

I use my finger or a thin sharp knife (swiss army knife would be best) to slide in between the gap and pull the cover out. Won't damage or leave mark anything.

Same for the door courtesy light. The trunk light cover can easily pull out with your finger.

Make sure you order 5050 SMD Led which is 3 LED inside each small chip give you much brighter.

There also 2 color available warm white which is matching interior stock LED and cool white which is a bit blue.

I try to replace the turn signal bulbs with LED and got hyper flash. So the LED blinker relay with help solve the hyper flash.

I order some this to try and will post the result soon:

It's fairly simple:

First pull out the mirror, start from the left side top then bottom, same on the right side. There are 4 clip in the back holding the mirror with the actuator. Don't worry, the mirror pretty thick with all the layers, it wont break. Rest it on the door with electrical wires.

Remove 5 screws inside the housing, pop out the housing cover.

The puddle light housing right there, swap the bulb and put everything back.

Tips: Gather the LED bulbs in different shape/size because you want to try to get the most brightest one for the puddle. The puddle housing pretty big but cover by the mirror housing.

I love the look of the car. Why ruin it with audi's christmas lights?

Default Led light bulbs

How hard was it to get to the mirror puddle lights? I was surprised those were not leds, on my Avalon they were Leds from the factory.

Thx

Not that hard if you know how to remove it. Pulling out the mirror might sound scare to some people but it's simple and easy.

Owners of other CT/RX on the forum done it without any problems.
