Fuel Efficiency
It's all about how you drive.... I typically get 25 mpg, but it can change dramatically depending on how I drive. Best tank was 32 mpg, worst tank was 17mpg. I used to leave ECO on all the time, but after getting a "feel" for the motor I leave it off now.
Yes, 90% of my driving is highway. But with 4,000 miles on the car the mileage is about what I expected.

My update:
I do mostly city driving (weekday commutes) and am generally trending towards 15-17mpg depending on what I do on the weekends.
I drove on the highway today for an hour and kept it at 60mph (100km/hr) and got just over 26mpg! One thing to note is that my last 3 tanks, I've put in 94 octane. I'm going to keep using 94 octane for a little while and then switch back to 91 to see if there is a noticeable difference in mpg. On a related note, my 2001 IS300 was significantly smoother with 94 over 91. No noticeable difference so far with the GS350.
With regular highway driving (120km/h) I get about 22-23 mpg.
And if it's not clear by the numbers above, I don't have the hybrid

I updated the fuel consumption screen the other day and it came back with 99.9mpg at one point. I leave it up on the screen to show people that get into my car.
Maybe a little glitch?

Yes, I can also get "99.9 mpg." Usually it's right after getting gas, though it'll also show it as the at-that-moment mileage when in EV mode, either coasting or just running on electric power. The mileage computer tops out there and doesn't calculate triple-digits. Technically, I'm still expending energy, so I know I'm not really getting infinite miles per gallon when using battery power. However, there is a nice feeling when braking down a steep hill or even when coasting of temporarily going from power user to power generator.
How are you guys getting 27 and 28? What speed are you at? Here in Ontario, general highway speed limits are 100km/hr (60mph). I cruised right at that limit and got 26.3 mpg. If I go my normal speed of 120, it drops to 25 mpg. I don't want to go under the speed limit
.
Oh, also note that I had two dogs, my son, and wife in the car. Total weight of all of them and me is about 400 lbs.
