Went and looked at an AWD F-Sport today. MSRP was 58,997.
The lease payment with $2,000 down (to cover first month and sec. deposit) was $841. That was a 3 year lease, 15K miles. Said the residual was 63% and my money factor (without running my credit) was 0.0027 (6.5%) They won't discount from the MSRP at all and the most they would offer for my 2011 was $39K.
I asked them to run a 2 year lease payment and the residual on that was 70% with a payment of $1,021, 15K miles
Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the numbers.
ok numbers are getting higher and higher? but if you ask me, being one of the first to get the car, that's just the premium you get to pay. same with any brands. to get real deals, it will be a few months when things cool off.
Actually numbers are not so bad considering 15k miles a year. It is less than I pay for my e350, and GS looks far better car. I wish to jump to GS lease. But one more year waiting. It is killing
Lease>Purchase....You "borrow" the car for 2 ~ 3 years and hand the keys back. Doesn't get much better then this for a DD
With that said Lexus, IMO, isn't the leader in leasing and lease rates. I find them to be high and wonder if more would lease then they do today if the numbers proved to be better.
It is psychological thing, I can empty my pocket by 60 grands but giving something every month doesn't look so bad. Yes I know when I do lease o lose more, but not so visible. It is like aging, you get close to die every day little by little, but imagine you told you will die tomorrow?
$800-900+ with Tier 1 with 0 down including the $1500 conquest money on the 56k or so F-sport. If you pay for the lease up front you save some money and it still figured to be about $760 or so a month.
The Lexus lease deals for the GS are MUCH improved over the previous model out the box, you don't have to wait. I think residual moved from .44% to now .63-.70% 36/24. There is a $599 deal on a base model GS 350 with Nav/Premium package about $660 a month.
Makes no sense to put any money down on a lease.
Everyone there is $1500 conquest money if you lease/buy through Lexus Financial, you just have to prove you own or are going to trade in a BMW/Benz etc.... This is backed by Lexus so negiotate anything else off you can as well.
What about Lexus owners, other makers usually give some loyalty money, aprox same amount.
Agree. Lexus is not likely to lease me another car (my current GS is leased through this December) if I know a guy down the street is paying $50 a month less just because he had a different brand of car while I'm a loyal current owner.
Crazy right. 12-10k, miles. I worked the math over and over and was left with lol
did you ask them for all the details like the money factor? i mean, given the cap cost is 56k (no discount), residual is that high (6x%?), then that mights the money factor must be very high. otherwise it doesn't make sense.
but then i also look at it the other way. the car is so new and hot, that's just the premium. i would never do it, but to some they want to be first
