I like the new front end, but love the images. Especially the old Plymouth(?).

The guys on Autoblog claim the spindle will fail. They do not like it.

As for me, I love it, not all colors but most.

One thing I want to mention is that when you see the old GS next to the new look, you do really see how nice the older GS actually was for styling.

Anyways, I like the look. But this thread is funny.

I read a review where the writer compared the grill to the Predator.

I wonder if he got that from me?

Maybe we have journalists reading clublexus now.

I actually like the new grill very much, and it's the only thing that has some character, and is remotely interesting on the 4GS design, I like it the first time I saw it too and even more so with time, I'd say they made a good decision

I think the problem with the 4GS design is not the grill itself , but the rest of the exterior design , it's too bland and does not match well with the front end

Definitely part of the problem....makes the car look like it was created by Dr Frankenstein...parts just put together without symmetry.
Saw the car in person yesterday. Sat in the showroom staring at it. Not only does the grill not match the rest of the car, it protrudes forward, like a bird's beak.

Then you look at the rest of the car and it looks so uninspired. It kinda looks like the IS but with less style. Like the IS stretched over a bigger frame but without adding in the style to compensate for the added size. Like Frenkenstein.

Then sat inside. I don't know why so many people raved about the interior but it didn't wow me. The materials feel slightly better but I don't like the lay out. Looks like a BMW.
The console is nice but the dash just looks like it was poured into a mold and slapped on the car. It didn't match the console well. Like Frankenstein.

Lexus proved it could make beautiful machines with the LFA. Then they give us this. Looks like its time to move on.

It is funny how folks opinions differs so much... Outside reviews have varied, but every one who I have talked to so far loves the interior and the new electronics/controls/ much higher quality materials. Did you just sit in it or did anyone have a chance to show it off?

It is Not like a BMW... some locations are similar due to common sense though

Strange. The 3GS nearly drove me away from Lexus(don't get me started) but the 4GS may well tempt me back...

I agree
I like the grill and the whole front end.
I hope it's better in person when I check it out.

think Lexus tried to make it aggressive as possible,,,but like many said it didn't translate into the rear,,,but looks are subjective, whatever,,,but my problem is why not update the engine and 6 speed ?? could of come out with 8 speed with 330 hp and make some statements,,,,even 09 E class came with 7 speed,,,gonna wait until second year to see,,
