I guess I'm one of the few who likes the current interior. I don't like BMW or MB, so YTF would I want their interior in my Lexus?? Touch screen is gone...awesome :sarcasm: 3D clock though!!!1!!one!!!1!

The interior is looking real good. Those seats look comfy. No complaints about the interior. It is easily on par with the Germans and definitely way way better than the Japanese/Korean counterparts. Would love to see how it looks with lighter wood and aluminum. The exterior is still a little luke warm for me. Definitely much better than the spy pics but still leaves something to be desired. But as i said Lexus cars look way better in person than in pics so cannot wait to see how it looks in person.

Options include a pre-collision system, which uses the dynamic radar cruise control system to provide early warning of upcoming objects that might result in a collision. The system also uses a first-in-class infrared camera to monitor the driver’s eyes. If the driver is not looking forward when a collision appears imminent, the system will sound a warning sooner than otherwise. If the driver still does not respond and make the appropriate manoeuvre, the system will initiate braking up to two seconds prior to impact, helping to lessen the severity of the collision.

Other available safety systems include a Night Vision System that enhances driver visibility in the dark; Head-Up Display (HUD); a Blind Spot Monitor that helps detect vehicles in rear/side blind spots; and Lane Keep Assist (LKA) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW). GS is the first in its segment to offer LKA with active steering torque to provide a small assistance in maintaining course, while the LDW feature alerts drivers if they begin to drift out of their lane.

Okay, call me a Luddite, but why so much technology? It adds countless weight to the car, requires more power to drive and in some sense detracts from the visceral sensation of well you know...DRIVING THE DANG CAR! I hope they did not throw a slew of electric nannies as Nissan did with the GTR!

It's the lightest in its class, plus all that technology is needed to either match the competition or be a step ahead in a competitive segment.
