4GS Release Discussion!
Agree with the intelligence part but I actually like the new 5 series and can't decide whether it looks better than the 4GS until I see the 4GS in person, but the interior of 4GS is probably already the best in class . I do agree the E class is the ugliest in it's class with a particularly cheap looking rear ...

19"'s are optional ones so those are that i would guess... production pics show it raised slightly, but aggressive stance is still there.

When they releasing the info on the GSh? One thing I will be amazed if they do turn the hybrid version into the so called GSh-F. Seeing the new M5 does 0-100 km/h in 4.4 or 4.5 seconds. If they found a way to reduce the weight in the GSh and add a few horsepower. Say like 400 hp, weight down to 4000 pounds and with the CVT it might do 0-100 km/h in 4.4-4.9 seconds. There is room for improvement. That is if Lexus does want to compete against the M5 and what not.
Anyways the new GS got a small hp bump. I am wondering why they didn't put in the 8-speed though.

Other comments on the new GS. I'm not happy that they are not offering a reasonably priced V8 like ALL the competition does. Hybrids never offset the cost of the car with fuel economy gains and they have too much weight and complexity. And I'm feeling certain that the "F" will be pretty pricey. I'm guessing a well equiped F will be at around $70k.
I still can't believe no 8 speed automatic. Name a competitor that does not have 7 or 8 ratios. Even Hyundai and Chrysler have it for 2012 in their premium cars (except Hemi's).
Overall though I do admit that I like the new G and if it's price is still in line with current pricing it will be at the top of my list to replace my current GS. But I fear that they will go up. A well equiped G37 Infiniti is around $5,000 or so more than the GS right now and I would not be interested if the GS moves up to that price range - unless there are some damn good lease deals.

I'm not sure where you are getting those numbers for the M5. I'll bet money we'll see 0-60 in the 3's in some tests.

Also, what V8 offsets the "price" of the car compared to the V6? Since apparently hybrid should be faster as well as generate some free money.

I dont expect GS to be cheap really.
just watched the vid for this so i had to come say WOW, if this is what the sedan looks like i cant wait to see what they do to other models. looks great ill def have to test drive one
