Question Getting to buy, looking for second opinion

Hey guys, i have found an car that i like, and i am going to check it out next week. The dealer asking for 32.9k it is a 2018 base model with 19k miles and it has ML system I have ran Carfax and ran its VIN on Lexus website all services was done on time at Lexus dealership. One thing that bother me the most is there a small area of peeling leather on the driver seat. You guys think this is a good deal?

Who is the unknown 'dealer' that has the car? Is it a Lexus dealership or some shady used car corner dealer? How are we to know anything about the car when you reveal literally no information about it? Has the car been painted violet and its doors modified into scissor doors? Does it have 24" rims? DETAILS!

dealer is Carmax. The car is being shipped, but prior being ship they took some pics of the flaws and sent it to me.

@charley95 - You wouldn't last ten minutes in that car until it was carjacked and taken on a joyride to Englewood in Chicago's South Side!

Almost all the parts are replaceable. The driver's seat on the 4gs is particularly heavy.

Care to share pics that Carmax sent you so we can assess the “small area of peeling leather”?

Is it in the seat area, the seat back or any other highly visible “high traffic” area that over time will quickly get worse?

Does it have heated seats bc if it doesn’t, the easy fix would be to get nice seat covers until you can properly fix?

As @bclexus stated — we need “DETAILS!” — as they can be very helpful when “…looking for a second opinion”

Doing a quick nationwide search, that price appears in line or maybe a tad low compared to other options. The thing inflating the price would be the low mileage, as you quickly get into the high 20ks once you get past 50k miles.

Doing a search on cars.com and on CarMax, there don't seem to be very many with that low of a milage. Also being CarMax, you won't be able to haggle with them. For the torn leather, it'd be up to you how much it bothers you. A seat will be something like 500. Since you have the pictures, ask around your area for leather repair companies to quote how much it'd be to fix and compare.

I would ask Carmax to fix it. They are good about reconditing and fixing things on their cars like that.

I just paid 38K for 2019 F sport with ML, power trunk, heated steering wheel and 50,000 miles. When you say base, is it the F sport? I don't really know what base means to be honest. But if it is a f sport I would say that is a really good deal.

Base likely means without FSport or Lux package.

It seems like it may be a little high depending on the leather damage. I just bought a 2018 GS 350 F Sport with 21k miles for $33.9k. A few minor blemishes.
I don't mind fixing a few minor blemishes, but I haven't had to deal with ripped leather before, so I'm not sure how expensive that would be.
