If you look at the image, I can get the left side to pop out, but the right side I cannot get to pop out where I feel if I apply any more force, it's gonna break something.
I do not see anymore screws, am I supposed to be pushing down, straight outward, or ???
Is there a hidden screw or something on that side?

I am trying to get in there to install the remote start from MCP.
Thanks

@NaimGS350 - That is quite an invasive mission to add remote start!

The part circled in red (in last image of my post) appears that it can be removed from the larger single-piece instrument panel sub-assembly, but I'm not sure about that.

This part might be an integral part of the larger instrument panel sub-assembly and cannot be separated from the larger sub-assembly.

If this is the part that your arrow is pointing to and it can be removed, our 'take-it-apart & put-it-all-back-together-again' expert, member @eddie420 will definitely know how to do it.

If you look, the section in yellow is one piece.
The square that is in orange, has a panel with like 2~3 buttons. I could not figure if that panel needed to be popped out first (and if it did, how to pop it out).
Or if it comes out with the whole panel.
I am new to this forum, do I reach out to @eddie420 or will he be alerted because you tagged his name?
Thanks

.......Eddie is the man!
...

Eddie can disassemble a SpaceX rocket and put it back together again.

Astronauts contact Eddie when there's a problem with the Space Station!

However, Eddie sometimes forgets "Righty tighty, lefty loosey".

I don't remember taking that much off when I installed my MPC. Im pretty sure I only removed the piece that goes around the push start button.

This cues me into that the housing around the radio need to be taken off.

Hmm...
I recall others saying the install was pretty easy and quick.... So I must be going about it the wrong way.
@lexo98, isn't the piece that goes around the push start button also the housing around the radio.

Remove the radio bezel. Remove the left console side panel.

Pry open this flap from the top (red arrow), there is a screw inside.

@aznKewlguy - That's Interesting! Tell me more about the camera and the button you installed.

It was an expansion to the GROM. Purchased a “Lexus oem button” but there was no good spot to install it since the back of the button was so large. Only works when button activated in CarPlay mode. Really only got it to protect the front lip esp when the wife has to use the car.

That front camera is pretty cool!

Getting back to the MPC remote starter saga.
I got the thing installed and working...

Here are the steps in case anyone in the future needs it.
Nothing needs to be spliced into anything. Connect a plugin connects and you are done.
Prepping the T-Harness supplied with the kit....
  • Step 1, plug the connector that is labeled EVO-ALL into the other connector further down on the harness
  • Step 2, plug in the 4 connectors into the EVO-ALL unit (this is only done to help you determine everything else that can be taped up to clean up the wiring harness)
  • Step 3, locate the connectors that are labeled "A" and the 7 pin connectors in the step 3 box
  • Tape up the remaining wires as the rest are not needed. Try to do this in a fashion so you have the maximum length between the EVO module, Connector A and the 7 pin module.
  • Now un-connect the EVO-ALL module.

Next step, removing interior body panels. to get at the connectors to plug this thing into... This is what troubled me the most, and now I know... would be a couple minutes to do now.
  • Remove the radio panel (there's a ton of examples out there so watch a video)
  • Second, remove the lower drivers dash panel. There's a couple of screws at the bottom. Take them out and the pull the panel straight out. (The secret is that the radio panel needs to come out first!) Note per the instructions provided by MPC, they state to remove the steering column housing... That should not be necessary with the GS350.
  • Locate the Body ECU which will be on the left side of the steering wheel, you will need to unplug the 30 pin connector (on my 2017 it was the middle one) and plug-in the connectors from the harness to the Body ECU and the connector you just unplugged.
  • Route the part of the harness with 7 pin connectors over to the right side of the steering wheel, you should see a silver box/housing with a 7 pin connector plugged into it. Connect the 7 pin connectors in here.
  • Now you are ready continue with following the directions where you plug in the black 4-pin connector into the EVO-ALL module and programing the thing (which is easy).
Note when got to the step of pushing the "Start" button twice, I did it too quick the first time and the remote starter did not work. The tail lights would light up, but the car would not start. So wait like 1 second between pushing the start button.
Second thing to note, the black 4-pin connector that goes into the EVO-ALL unit does not have a retaining clip on it like all the other clips. So the first time I tucked it up under the dashboard, it pulled out and the remote starter did not work after I put everything back together. Luckily I put it in a place where I could get at it, pull it down without having to pull any internal panels off. I then simply had to re-program it.

I hope this helps someone in the future.
