When I got my car the two plastic cover pieces in the front of the engine bay were not attached. I didn't bother putting them back until now because I knew I'd need to take them off again to replace the chrome on my bumper. Anyway, today I finally put them back but since I'd never seen it done I searched for images of the engine bay just to make sure everything was right, and it looks like I am missing a piece?
My car is a base model, is this something specific to F Sport? or for cars with a feature mine doesn't have such as radar cruise? Or am I straight up missing something?
(This engine also looks different than mine, my oil cap is in a cut out on the engine cover, not off to the side. But other, lower quality pictures show an engine that looks like mine and also has the piece that I don't have circled above)
I think you're right about that picture having adjustable struts, but here's another one that looks like it does not have that option but still has that piece that I don't have.

This is strange, that looks like the 2.5 V6. Not the 3.5 V6 Like the IS250 engine.
What is this piece that my engine bay is missing?
