Default Check Headlight Leveling System, aftermarket Headlight

Hi
I have 2014 GS 350 USA spec and i have installed aftermarket headlights and bumper and the car is upgraded to 2016 model.
so my car looks nice and better and you see in the picture below.

but I’m still getting this error in the dashboard “Check Headlight Leveling System”

is there any one facing the same issue? And how to fix it.

the second question is related to the trim size
my car’s trim is 18 inches and I’m planning to upgrade to 19inches. Is that will effect the car performance?

many thanks in advance 🙏

This can be attributed to the aftermarket triple beam HL installed.
There are several threads on the topic.

Which ones did you buy?

Post link and others that went this rout can point you in right direction.
Your ride looks beautiful !

The new lights are probably not auto leveling like oem, so you have open connections going to the AFS ECU. I don't think there is a way to get rid of the error, unless you retrofit oem headlights.

I thought AFS was when they swivel left and right, not self leveling? So even if you didn’t already have AFS, with these Alibaba lights, you will get the AFS error since you lose auto leveling?

All GS have AFS ECU to control the headlights, just the name Lexus uses for the ECU. The base lights are just auto leveling.

There might be a way to trick the system but idk how to go about doing that.

I went to someone here in Dubai and he said it’s AFS issue and he’s unplugged the cable under the steering wheel. And the the error is disappeared!
But the daylight is stopped working after that.😄

so I plugged in the cable again because i need the daylight to be on!

I’m still looking for another solution 🙁

See if you can locate and pull the AFS fuse, that might help to get rid of the dash warning light. This is a common trick people do in IS cars when they install aftermarket headlights.

Does the GS have a fuse that is only responsible for the AFS? If so, does anyone know where that might be?

There were two fuses listened on fuse-info, but they both also seem tied to other systems. Fuses 9 and 10 under driver side interior fuse box.
https://fuse-box.info/lexus/lexus-gs250-gs350-l10-2012-2017-fuses/amp

By the way, were these the lights?

They don't have a picture of the back/connector but the 2016 ones that company lists does. If it's as basic as this, then it wouldn't be hard to figure out which wire powers the DRL circuit. As a last option, you could unplug the AFS plug under your steering wheel (since you already know it removes the error and doesn't seem to affect other items). And wire the DRL on a relay to turn on with ignition or some other trigger.

Unfortunatly there is no solution I just unplugged the cable under the steering wheel. And the the error is disappeared!

But the daylight is stopped working after that.
The main reason for this issue that the aftermarket headlight is not compatible with the car.
